Providing complete confidence, all HDS Custom Rods have a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original registered owner. If a HDS Custom Rod is broken for any reason, the solution is to repair or replace it quickly and without any hassle to get anglers back on the water. We will repair or replace, at no cost, any product damaged due to faulty workmanship or manufacturing defects. HDS Custom Rods are covered under a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Once you receive your rod, we encourage you to examine the blank for any visual inconsistencies (if you have a question on what may be an inconsistency – send a request through this form!) At HDS Custom Rods, it is standard practice to stress test EVERY Rod that we manufacture. This is not to say that we could have overlooked an issue, or a rod may be damaged in transit. A lot can happen in-between us receiving a blank from NFC and its transformation into a finished rod that can cause it damage. As a rule of thumb, once you have stressed the rod (which is a secondary stress after our own) and you have enjoyed it for months, years, there is nothing wrong with the rod. We may offer you a courtesy replacement at our cost, but this is up to our discretion. Manufacturing defects on blanks are evident within the first few uses of the rod (we are fairly graceful with “few uses”). The Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, theft, accidents, or abuse; however, for a fee we will swiftly provide product repairs, including rod tips and guides. If the tip becomes damaged, we will happily send you a new tip free of charge. If an insert comes out of a guide, with no abuse shown, we will repair or provide a new guide at no cost.
You can purchase a no fault ONE time replacement extended warranty at the time of purchase for $100.
If we determine that a rod broke not due to a defect (after the first few uses), and if you did not purchase an extended warranty, rod replacement is $150.
If you are unsatisfied with your rod for any reason we will take it back with no questions asked within the first 3 days as long as you have not used it.
